I have always loved cooking. There is nothing better than watching people enjoy the food I have made for them. When looking for catering for my own wedding, I was flabbergasted at the prices and how little those heavy costs provided. So I did what any rational person would do—I self-catered my own wedding of 150 people. This was my first event at this scale, but with years of cooking under my belt, I dove right in. Even with the hectic and overflowing schedule, it was a resounding success.

A year later, I volunteered to work a cookout at a job site to feed close to 200 people. I slept on site overnight, smoking briskets, pulled pork, and whole chickens. 26 hours later, as I watched everyone eat, I realized I might have to do this more often. And here we are.
